Instagram can be a huge time-suck, right? One minute you have every intention of scrolling through Instagram for five minutes and the next moment – you realize an hour has gone by! So, how can you maximize your time on Instagram and stop spinning your wheels? Here are three time-saving Instagram hacks for real estate pros that I use each and every day.
Tip 1: Use the desktop version of Instagram .
Yes, Instagram is mainly a mobile app BUT there is so much you CAN do on the desktop version including leaving meaningful comments. Don’t be a drive-by liker. Take five minutes a day and focus on leaving at least five meaningful comments (a meaningful comment is one with at least 4 words) – this is SO much easier to do on the desktop version of Instagram! You can also use the desktop version to do hashtag research quickly and easily!
Tip 2: Use text replacement on your phone
Whether you have an iPhone or Android – set up text replacement for common phrases you say over and over on Instagram. Things like: Congrats! Happy Birthday! Thank you! This saves a lot of time! Here is how to do this on iPhone and Android.
Tip 3: Use a tool to save your hashtags
I love using Later.com to schedule my posts but I also love, love, love the “saved caption” feature because I can save groups of hashtags. So you may have groups of hashtags based on the content you post such as real estate tips, housing info, community events and more. Then, when you are posting or scheduling Instagram posts, you don’t have to reinvent the wheel – you have all of your hashtags ready to go!
