Do you feel behind the 8-ball when it comes to social media?
Perhaps you have not yet dipped your toe into the water and are wondering if it’s too late?
Or, you’ve been on social media awhile but not quite sure if it’s working?
The good news is, it’s not too late and in this video, I’m sharing three easy tips to get started with social media for real estate agents.
Tip # 1: Where do you want to be?
The first thing to consider is, where do you want to be? I don’t think real estate agents need to be on all platforms, but it’s important to spend some time getting to know Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other various platforms to see where you enjoy spending time and how those platforms work.
Tip # 2: Where are you clients at?
Secondly it’s important to figure out where your clients are spending time online. Oftentimes we assume where people are or are not. I recommend sending an email to your database asking your clients where they are spending time on social media! This is a great way to connect and showcase how you are serving your clients through social media.
Tip # 3: Audit yourself.
Lastly take a few minutes to Google yourself and click on the top 5 to 10 links that pop up. You will want to see which platforms have outdated photos, check for outdated links or contact information that’s no longer relevant. You may also choose to deactivate a certain platform that you are not active on.
Once you have done that, you may consider starting with LinkedIn. LinkedIn is one of the only professional networks and this is a great place to start when it comes to social media.
I’d love to hear from you! Are you new to social media? Leave me a comment on the video!
