LinkedIn for Real Estate Agents (2022 Edition)

Are you active on LinkedIn? In our latest video I share the most important tips real estate agents need to know about LinkedIn in 2022. If you are ready to up-level your LinkedIn strategy – this is for you!

Here are my best tips when it comes to LinkedIn for Real Estate Agents in 2022:

Tip #1: Optimize and update your profile

Get found quickly on LinkedIn and establish your credibility. Make sure you update your photo, contact info (don’t be a secret agent), brokerage you are with, your real estate designations, your story (how you got into real estate and why you love what you do), your market area you serve and photos and videos.

Tip #2: Connect with prospects, clients and agents

LinkedIn is the ultimate networking party! Connect with potential clients, past clients and other agents locally and globally.

Tip #3: Post 3-5 times a week

Consistency is the name of the game. Original content is best but you can also post helpful links and articles about: the market, real estate tips, local economy news, community news, your listings, information about your expertise and more. Share links from Inman or the National Association of Realtors (NAR) – but ideally post your own content at least once or twice a week!

Tip #4: Give recommendations

Give to get! Give recommendations to other agents, clients and people you have worked with. Often they will give you a recommendation in return. This is great social proof.

Tip #5: Download and use the LinkedIn mobile app

Nearly half of all LinkedIn users use the mobile app. This is a great way to connect with your connections on your mobile device and see how your profile looks via mobile too.
