Are you active on LinkedIn? If you are in real estate – here are my biggest do’s and don’ts for real estate professionals on LinkedIn!
DO’S
#1: Post consistently. Just like any other social media platform, consistency is the name of the game. I recommend posting 3-5 times per week on LinkedIn.
#2: Connect with others. LinkedIn is like the ultimate networking party. It’s a great place to connect with a wide variety of people across industries, past clients and future prospects.
#3: Optimize your profile. You want to make sure you have an updated photo, an updated cover photo, your title, your contact information and use the About and Experience sections to showcase who you are.
DON’TS
#1: Don’t spam. There’s nothing worse than connecting with someone and the first thing they send you is a link to something. Don’t do this! Take the time to build genuine connections.
#2: Don’t just post listings. Listings can be a part of your posting strategy but not the only thing. Share your expertise with tips on real estate, your local market and other helpful information and insights.
#3: Don’t post and run. It’s okay to schedule your posts – but be sure to check your notifications so you can respond and engage. Don’t set it and forget it!
