Have you optimized your LinkedIn profile yet? If you are in real estate – don’t leave money on the table! In my latest video I share the five things you need to do today to optimize your profile (plus, one bonus tip at the end!)
Tip #1: Don’t be a secret agent. When it comes to LinkedIn, just like any other social media platform, people shouldn’t have to dig to find your contact information. Make sure your contact info is front and center!
Tip #2: Have a relevant title. Whatever your title of choice is (Realtor, Broker, etc.) make sure to have that in your bio, along with specifics like the market area you serve!
Tip #3: Update work history. Make sure to update at least the last 10 or so years. Be sure to include designations you have as well as photos!
Tip #4: Add photos and videos. Pictures are worth 1000 words. Adding photos and videos of clients, your community, etc. can make a huge difference when it comes to your LinkedIn bio.
Tip #5: Give recommendations. One of the best ways to optimize your profile is ‘give to get’. When you give a recommendation to someone, nine times out of ten they will turn around and return the favor.
BONUS tip: Set a calendar reminder to update your profile. I like to do this at least once a year (usually in the last quarter). Set aside some time to make sure everything is up to date.
