    Today, I’m going to share with you three little known tips you may not know you can do with LinkedIn.

    Tip number one: Did you know you can blog and publish content right within LinkedIn, all for free? Yup. I’m not talking about the regular LinkedIn newsfeed. I mean going into your LinkedIn profile and publishing an article. What I love to do is repurpose content. So if you’ve written a blog post a couple of months ago or you created a great video and you want to repurpose that content, why not go into LinkedIn, fire open a new blog post, copy and paste that in there. You can even put a link back to the original post, maybe edit it a little bit so it’s not exactly the same. If you’ve got a YouTube video, you can embed that YouTube video right in there, and the beauty of publishing on LinkedIn, first of all, it’s free! Second of all, when you hit “Publish”, all of your LinkedIn connections get a notification that you have published a piece of content.

    The other thing that’s nice about that is that blog post then lives on LinkedIn so you can share that link out on Facebook, you can share it out with your database, and it’s a really, really fantastic way to repurpose content. Also, when you publish a blog post, that blog post lives on your LinkedIn profile. Now, I wouldn’t necessarily blog about your latest listings, but if you’ve got some great content that is somewhat “evergreen”, timeless; maybe tips on how to get your home ready for the market or tips on how to declutter, or everything you think a first time home buyer should ask you. That type of content can do extremely well on LinkedIn.

    Tip number two: Rearranging your keywords. Did you know you could rearrange your keywords on your LinkedIn profile? Have you ever been endorsed for something and you’re wondering, “Why did I get endorsed for that?” Well, the way endorsements work is someone is just clicking a button and they’re endorsing you for real estate, whether it’s buying or selling. But if you go into your LinkedIn profile and scroll all the way down to your keyword, you can see exactly what you’ve been endorsed for, and with a click of a button, you can actually rearrange your keywords. So if you’d rather be endorsed for certain things over other things, you can move those around. You can also delete certain skills that maybe you don’t want to be endorsed for, and that’s all at the bottom of your LinkedIn profile.

    Tip number three: A little known thing you may not know that you can do with LinkedIn, and that is to upload video directly into LinkedIn. Uploading video directly into LinkedIn, I think, is kind of a big secret still. I don’t see a lot of people doing this. I see a lot of people still sharing YouTube links and Vimeo links, but when you can go into LinkedIn and upload your video directly into LinkedIn, you’re going to get more traction. Let’s face it, LinkedIn, just like Facebook or any other platform, they like when you stay on the platform. They don’t want to send that traffic anywhere else. So, if you’re creating video, you’re probably uploading it directly to Facebook anyways. You’re probably also uploading it to YouTube, and for us, we’re also uploading that video directly into LinkedIn. What we have found is that it helps tremendously in terms of engagement, likes, comments, and interactions. So make sure you’re doing that as well. And then of course, later on, a few weeks later, you can repurpose that video into a blog post by embedding them into YouTube and the cycle goes on and on and on because as we all know, repurposing is the name of the game.

    So those are our quick few tips when it comes to LinkedIn. Make sure your LinkedIn profile is updated as well. There’s nothing worse than going into someone’s LinkedIn profile and their photo is out of date, or there’s nothing about them. There’s that perception that you’re not in business.
