Here are my do’s and don’ts for Instagram Reels for real estate agents! Wondering what to do (and, not do?) We cover this and more in our latest video!
Do’s for real estate agents using Instagram Reels:
1. Create engaging and informative content that showcases properties and local areas: Use Instagram Reels to give potential buyers a glimpse of the properties you’re selling and the surrounding areas. This can include virtual tours of the interior and exterior of the property, as well as footage of the local neighborhood.
2. Utilize Instagram’s editing features to make your videos visually appealing: Instagram Reels offers a variety of editing tools, such as filters, stickers, and text, that can help you create visually appealing videos. Take advantage of these tools to make your content stand out.
3. Engage with your followers and other industry professionals on the platform: Instagram Reels is not only a place to post content, but also a place to connect with potential buyers and other industry professionals. Respond to comments and messages from followers, and engage with other industry professionals by commenting on and sharing their content.
Don’ts for real estate agents using Instagram Reels:
1. Post irrelevant or unprofessional content: Instagram Reels is a professional platform, so make sure your content is relevant and appropriate. Avoid posting personal or unprofessional content that could harm your reputation or turn off potential buyers.
2. Use copyrighted content in your videos: Always make sure you have the rights to use any images, music, or footage that you include in your Reels videos. Using copyrighted content can lead to legal issues and damage your reputation.
3. Fail to disclose sponsored content or partnerships in your posts: If you are working with a brand or partner, it’s important to disclose any sponsored content or partnerships in your posts. Not doing so can be a violation of FTC guidelines and harm your credibility. Also, make sure you disclose your brokerage and DRE number if required!
I’d love to hear from you! Are you using Instagram Reels? Leave me a comment on the video!
